TK / KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

If your child meets the age requirements below,

you may enroll your child in our TK or Kindergarten program.

Please visit your school for information.

TO ENROLL, PLEASE BRING WITH YOU:

1. Your child, for the Kindergarten Assessment

2. Immunization Verification Records

3. One of the following documents: birth certificate/certified copy of birth record, statement by the local registrar or a county recorder certifying the date of birth; baptism certificate; passport; or affidavit of the parent, guardian, or custodian of a minor. 

KINDERGARTEN AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR 2023-2024

A child is eligible to register for the 2023-24 Kindergarten program in the Mariposa County Unified School District if the child will have his or her fifth birthday on or before September 1, 2023 (inclusive).

TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR 2023-2024

A child is eligible for the 2023-2024 Transitional Kindergarten program if a child will have his or her fifth birthday between September 2 and December 2, 2023.

A transitional kindergarten is the first year of a two-year kindergarten program that uses a modified kindergarten curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate.

A child who turns 5 after December 2, 2023 will be eligible for Kindergarten (or Transitional Kindergarten) in the 2024-25 school year.
