Dear Parents/Guardians
WRITTEN BY Site Administrator ON March 23, 2018

Due to the unfortunate flooding, damage to roads and bridges, and other unsafe conditions resulting from the weather conditions we experienced on March 22nd and the ongoing concern for community safety, it was necessary to postpone the Professional Development inservice planned for MCUSD staff today.  The result of which is that we have had to make the following adjustments to the school calendar:

  • March 30th will become a non-student day allowing for staff to participate in the postponed Professional Development day.

  • April 30th will now become the make-up snow day (for February 23rd), so will become a regular school day for students and staff.

We would like to thank the Mariposa Sheriff’s Department for monitoring and notifying the School District of the impending emergency probability. We would also like to thank all the MCUSD Staff as always for putting students safety first and coming together to make sure all made it home safely.

We also appreciate your understanding for the necessity of these actions and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please contact your school site if you have any further questions.

Thank you,

Robin Hopper, Superintendent
