Our goal is to provide the MCUSD staff, students and community with a trusted, supportive and responsive team of experts in our field where our employees are confident to excel in their work, which will allow for our students to receive their best education. We strive to meet this goal by working in close partnership with our school sites and departments behind-the-scenes in order to build our best school system from within.

Mariposa County

The Mariposa County Unified School District supports the development and preparation of individuals in the pursuit of a teaching credential through a university intern program. A university intern program is authorized by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing to provide an alternative route to earn valuable, real-time classroom teaching experience while an individual completes their coursework to earn their preliminary credential. Individuals are provided the education and support that they need through their university, while our district provides support partners to help the individual navigate these first years in the classroom. Intern credentials allow for an individual to become employed.

MCUSD currently has several agreements with various universities to help students through this process. Additional commission-approved university options are available (commission-approved programs at the following link: http://cig.ctc.ca.gov/cig/CTC_apm/all.php)
